For CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support

There are no prerequisites, however it is preferred that students:

  • Are 18 years or older
  • Have sound language and literacy skills (at least Year 10 English, or equivalent)
  • Have basic computer skills
  • Oral communication – a learner will be able to use and respond to spoken language including some unfamiliar material within a variety of contexts.
  • Numeracy and mathematics – a learner will be able to recognise and use a variety of conventions and symbolism of formal mathematics
  • Due to the physical requirements of this course, the student must be physically fit.
  • Commitment to completing the mandatory 120 hours pratical placement (unpaid).
  • Ability to obtain a clear National Police Check at the student’s cost.
  • Police check showing a serious conviction of murder, sexual assault or a conviction and a sentence to imprisonment for any other form of assault will not allow entry in our certificate III in Individual Support.
  • Global International College will only accept students with a clear police check

What are the resources needed to complete the course? To support you in your new course with Global International College, we will provide:

  • Learner Guides, Assessment Workbooks, and other course materials
  • Document templates, handouts and other helpful resources
  • A simulated environment with organisation policies, procedures and other documentation for learners who do not have access to a workplace (excluding vocational placement)
  • Full Trainer Support
  • Access to relevant Acts, regulations and standards.

To complete your course you will need to arrange access to:

  • A Computer (PC or Mac) with Internet (a minimum speed of 5mbps is recommended)
  • Google Chrome Web Player
  • Latest Adobe Acrobat Reader and Adobe Flash Player
  • Latest Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • A Registered Aged Care Facility to complete vocational placement
  • Camera or video recorder
  • 1 passenger vehicle
  • 3 volunteers for role play tasks (may be friends, family members, colleagues, etc.)

For CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support

There are no prerequisites, however it is preferred that students:

  • Are 18 years or older
  • Have sound language and literacy skills (at least Year 10 English, or equivalent)
  • Have basic computer skills
  • Must undertakeLanguage, Literacy and Numeracy test (LLN) :
  • Oral communication – a learner will be able to use and respond to spoken language including some unfamiliar material within a variety of contexts.
  • Numeracy and mathematics – a learner will be able to recognise and use a variety of conventions and symbolism of formal mathematics
  • Due to the physical requirements of this course, the student must be physically fit.
  • Commitment to completing the mandatory 120 hourspractical placement (unpaid).
  • Ability to obtain a clear National Police Check at the student’s cost.
  • This course is not offered to international students

For BSB50420 Diploma of Leadership and Management

There are no prerequisites, however it is preferred that students:

  • Are 18 years or older
  • Have sound language and literacy skills (at least Year 10 English, or equivalent)
  • Have basic computer skills
  • Must undertake Language, Literacy and Numeracy test (LLN) :
  • Oral communication -a learner will be able to use and respond to spoken language including some unfamiliar material within a variety of contexts.
  • Numeracy and mathematics – a learner will be able to recognise and use a variety of conventions and symbolism of formal mathematics
  • This course is not offered to international students
